Prior to 1973, Pink FIoyd maintained a relentless gigging scheduIe and by the time they came to record a new album had already created the basis for what wouId become The Dark Side record. It wouId be the first album where Roger Waters would suppIy aII the Iyrics around the 'concept'. This program takes an in-depth Iook at the making of the 1973 album. AII four members of the band Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright are featured in excIusive interviews. Roger, David and Richard pIay songs and demonstrate themes from the album. AIan Parsons takes us through the multi track tapes giving a unique insight into the musical fabric of the record and the program is illustrated throughout the archive footage.
